I finally ordered a Google phone. I decided to go with a Google Nexus One. Why? I needed something on the low end of v2.0 because I want to make sure I can track performance issues on as many devices as possible. Google Nexus One is not the best offer for an Android phone and it's quite pricey when you order the unlocked model. I also have a contract with AT&T (Yuk!) for my other fruity phone so I guess I'll be able to swap SIM between phones if I need to. I heard rumors that it's possible and I certainly hope so.

TIll now, I didn't have any real Android device to work on this project and I never saw my demos running on the real thing. I can't wait when it arrives. Expect more support for cocos2d for Android when I finally get my Google Nexus One.

cocos2d for Android is a framework for building 2D games, demos and other graphical/interactive applications. It is based on the cocos2d-iphone design: it uses the same API, but instead of using objective-c, it uses Java.
