Can't add remote share via gnome vfs / gvfs #775
Comments
From davidsansome on September 20, 2010 10:58:18 It should use the gnome file dialog when you're running in Gnome, which will have the list of mounts down the side. If not you can still browse to ~/.gvfs/ which will have the remote mounts in. |
From andy.grover on September 20, 2010 17:38:56 Thanks for the tip, it shows up in ~/.gvfs/. Got me going. I googled a bit and found this bug, it seems to infer using GIO may help: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/418137 |
From andy.grover on September 20, 2010 17:53:05 Aha, you're using Qt, so disregard that GIO bit I guess :) |

I have my library on a Samba share, but hitting Prefs->Music Library->Add New Folder only shows local mounts, not ones mounted by gnome vfs. One workaround is of course to mount the share directly, but access via gnomevfs would be preferable.
