As proposed by dodo.the.last@gmail.com in http://code.google.com/p/clementine-player/issues/detail?id=328#c2 , a moodbar-colored waveform seekbar would be both a very useful feature to more easily seek within a track, and definite eye-candy too ! :-)

Isn't volume (amplitude) already accounted for in the moodbar colours? In the default moodbar theme quiet sections are darker and louder sections are brighter. It seems to me that altering the height of the moodbar bar around the central axis would be redundant.

That's possible indeed.

However, I see two reasons not to discard this idea :
1- Colour-blind people could have a better view of the mood
2- It'd look awesome anyway ! ^^

Even colourblind people can tell dark from light, which is how moodbars normally distinguish between quiet and loud sections.

That's right, but don't moodbars use colors to express low or high pitch too ?

E.g. : light blue = loud bass ; light yellow = loud treble

Eye-candiness would still benefit from that though. :-P
