Spotify keeps skipping to next track in playlist #2900
Comments
From alan.n.d...@gmail.com on July 02, 2012 05:32:08 I have the same problem using the latest nightly version (1.0.1-523-gc57f588). Only about 2 seconds of each track gets played before it skips onto the next track. |
From fi...@mars.fixie.fi on December 03, 2012 01:05:39 I have a same problem with Qt 4.8.1, Clementine 1.1.1, Windows 7 64bit |
From musicisl...@gmail.com on December 03, 2012 05:42:55 I have the same problem. 1.1.1. Windows 8. |
From laatvlie...@gmail.com on December 15, 2012 00:37:33 Same problem on OpenSUSE 12.2, KDE 4.9.4, Clementine 1.0.1 from OpenSUSE oss repository. 5 seconds play time, then skipping to the next song up until the end of the playlist is reached, |
From musicisl...@gmail.com on February 07, 2013 13:25:34 Is there a way to get this issue some more attention? |
From fuuze...@fuuzetsu.co.uk on February 07, 2013 14:12:35 Yes, by writing a patch. |
From vpklo...@gmail.com on May 05, 2013 06:58:40 Anyone know how it's going about this issue? I have the same and i like the service spotify provides but I'd like to try this as it's open source and more or less like the spotify client! |
From davidsansome on May 12, 2013 18:26:31 Issue 3673 has been merged into this issue. |
From otsuz...@gmail.com on September 06, 2013 16:30:16 I had the same problem running v1.1.1 on aptosid amd64 (KDE 4.10.5, kernel 3.11). This line appears in the syslog: Everything works fine after deleting spotify-cache and spotify-settings. I don't know if both folders had to be removed or just one of them. |
From ItsPengu...@gmail.com on September 12, 2013 15:10:05 I increased my buffering time to 10 seconds and it seemed to fix things for me, a temporary fix but it makes spotify useable. |
From g...@thepinkhams6.com on September 20, 2013 07:23:03 cleaning cache nor changing buffer to 10seconds worked for me.. Windows 7.. Clem 1.1.1.. Luckily grooveshark works.. |
From musicisl...@gmail.com on September 20, 2013 08:02:09 Still an issue for me, I have also cleared cache, and changed the buffer. Still not working. Multiple OS, Windows 7 and 8, 64 bit |
From ItsPengu...@gmail.com on September 20, 2013 13:21:30 This is pretty odd. The problem came back for me, of course I deleted spotify-cache & settings, then it worked again... |
From aceman3...@gmail.com on December 08, 2013 13:05:42 I am on Windows 8.1 with exact same problems. Increasing buffering time did not help. Just playing 2 seconds and then Clementine advances to the next track :( |
I ran into this issue with Clementine 1.2.3 on Windows 8.1. I saw that there had been 770 commits since 1.2.3 so I figured I might as well try |
Here Spotify skips all songs in a playlist when the computer has waken from sleep mode. Windows 10 - Spotify 1.0.12.161.g64b0797c |
I'm getting this with Here is the log from launch, while I load a Spotify playlist and experience the first skip at :22 into the song, and quit. |
v1.3.1 stops playing any spotify-track after 5-20 seconds on Windows 10 x64. The windows event log says that the faulting application is clementine-spotifyblob.exe and the faulting module is libspotify.dll Maybe libspotify.dll needs updating? Got the same problematic behaviour on OS X El Capitan as well, but didn't check the log there. |
That would be nice, but Spotify has abandoned it. From their developer page:
|
Ah... Hope they keep their word about a new library then. |
Have you tried to download Spotify playlist to your PC? I guess maybe since the Spotify music format is incompatible with your player. You can take a try to convert Spotify to mp3 on Windows then playback again on your device. |
The free Spotify account doesn't support skip songs. If you want to do that, you have to subscribe to the Spotify premium, it costs $9.99. That would be a lot of money in the long run. So is there any other better way? The answer is yet. You can convert Spotify to MP3 by using the best music converter for mac, then you can choose any players with the skip fetaures to help you to play the Mp3 files. |

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Connect to Spotify Premium
2.Start the playlist
3.Each song in the list is only played for about 5 seconds What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Each song should play entirely. Songs do not play all the way before they skip to playing the next song What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? QT 4.7.1, Clementine 1.0.1. Windows 7 32bit. 4 GB RAM Please provide any additional information below. Spotify premium account 320bps. Default clementine spotify blob that came with the installation
