What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Start Clementine.
2. See Clementine is not pink.
3. Wonder why someone would create software that isn't pink. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Clementine being pink. Clementine not being pink. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? The one that's not pink. Please provide any additional information below. Good pinks: FF3399 / FF0099. Maybe FF0066 at a push. Perhaps a sparkle
feature would add yet more interest? And a cat.

I wonder why this bug is still around. I struggle with the pinkless interface every
day for hours. It reminds me of a story which is too long to type. Clementine is
unusable unless it's truly pink with at least a couple of sparkles in it. Period.
Another period.

That's a truly magical game despite the exploding unicorns! If you can get the same kinda style for Clementine I'm sure it'll be featured in girly magazines soon!

I retract the issue for Windows 7. As long as the user already has a suitably pink theme on Windows 7, Clementine is truly pink enough. :-) Any more pink may be 'too pink' (if any such notion exists).

The problem is that Clementine with a pink theme applied is not naturally pink, i.e. the implicit unpinkishness may be not visible but audible or otherwise perceptible. Moreover, the user may be aware of the problem and therefore feel unrest even without external stimuli. Experimental data should be gathered. One possible solution is to permanently remove this issue and prevent the notion of unpinkishness from being freely available. A secret organization should be established to protect the general public and suppress potentially dangerous ideas. It can be named "Pink Unrest Suppression Squad".

No. This is issue which affects the usability of Clementine, the music doesn't sound good when listened from pinkless music player.

This bug has been around for quite a long time and it hasn't been fixed. I am asking how much longer I will have to wait for my Clementine to be pink?!

I can't find the cat? Where's my cat? Hello? When will the cat be implemented? I'll go back to iTunes if there's no cat.

I feel that my initial issue hasn't yet been resolved. Along with the pinkness I suggested a sparkle feature and a cat.

  1. I think we've gathered from all of the disappointed users above that Clementine is still not pink.

  2. No sparkle feature has been implemented as far as I can tell. Perhaps the play button could sparkle enticingly, willing users to touch it, being rewarded for doing so with the soulful tunes of their music collection?

  3. The Cat Issue. While I appreciate the kitten mode and definitely think it's worth
keeping, what I was really suggesting was an animated cat buddy to play with the mouse and leap around the page. You could release add-ons like Christmas Buddy Cat, Halloween Buddy Cat and Death Metal Buddy Cat?

If you think about it, all you need to do is implement a pink, sparkly Buddy Cat and this issue would be closed.

I believe that the bug is somewhat of an inside joke or otherwise attempt at humorously describing the UI customization issue.

If I am wrong, and someone really wanted to make their orange turn pink, by all means, lets git-r-done!

I just want to say that should Clementine one day manifest itself as indelibly, "naturally," and incontrovertibly pink - and sparkly, no less - that day, say I, will trigger such a groundswell of revolt, indignation, and raging angst that swooning pinkophiles will hardly know what knocked them out of their blissful daze (would they but notice)
Bitterly, the rest of us will have no choice but to go scavenging in our historical dustbins for crusty old copies of that blue thing we called amrock one point four.

Fianlly! I think I echo everyone's feelings when I say it's ABOUT FRIGGIN TIME for Clementine to be pink. But I still see a few issues:

  1. arnaud.bienner's revision looks like it would require manual user intervention for the pinkness to happen. Really? User intervention? What is this, 1996?

  2. I see absolutely no mention of anything sparkly.

Seriously guys, let's get it together here!

Well, I think we close this for now.
Now, you can colorize Clementine to be as pink as you pink as you want.
Also, you can change the playlist background to a custom image (e.g. http://icons.iconarchive.com/icons/fasticon/nature/256/Pink-Flower-icon.png ) to make it a little bit more pink.
IMHO it's enough for now.
Already available in hourly builds, will be available in next stable release.
