Frodo
A port of the Frodo C64 emulator

Frodo/Cibyl is a port of the Frodo C64 emulator to J2ME phones using Cibyl. It allows you to play disk-based (.d64) C64 games on your mobile phone.

It requires a pretty fast phone, my SonyEricsson k810i is barely fast enough (slightly low frame rate).

Usage

Upload games to your phone and place these in the frodo directory on your memory card. On SonyEricsson phones, this is usually e:/frodo. Frodo/Cibyl currently only handles disk-based games, so only .d64 files will work. At startup, you get to select which game to start.

Controls are handled by the keypad. The direction keys and fire are used as a joystick and GAME_A (7 on SonyEricsson phones) brings up a menu. This menu can be used to load games, switch joystick ports and bind a keyboard key to GAME_B (9 on SonyEricsson phones).
