Build : 2.0.168.0 (Developer Build 10608) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch Chrome 2. Go to any page to download a file 3. When download is in progress, go to downloads page or hit ctrl + J What is the expected output? a throbber should be seen What do you see instead? No throbber seen Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

To make it more clear, Please note we have two issues over here: 1. The throbber does not spin for the Downloads page. 2. There is no download progress status also. -Venkat.

Add a progress meter to the downloads page.
Add the progress status text indicator code from the old history page.
Make 'cancel' visible when paused.

Download progress meter works fine in 2.0.172.2 (Official Build 13060), but I got the issue 9689 -Venkat.

Just noticed, the progress meter (360 degree rotator) for zip files is still missing. For eg: download a zip file from ftp://ftp.ets.org/pub/demo/ and notice the downloads page does not have status meter, though downloads shelf has it. So reopening it!

Error occurs for files where we don't know how big they are, not zip files.
