Xiaolu, can you reproduce this issue in the latest build? I can't in 169.1.

Comment 4 by xlyuan@chromium.org, Mar 17, 2009
Hi, Jungshik:

I still see this issue on 169.1 and latest trunk 2.0.171.0 (Developer Build
11871).

And the steps I used were the same as I mentioned above in the bug.

1. type Thai script in some input-box
2. put cursor on | like this "๑๒๓๔๕๖๗๗๘๙|" (using mouse)
3. try to drag to front like this "|๑๒๓๔๕๖๗๗๘๙"
4. result: the select highlight "๑๒๓๔๕๖๗๗๘", it missing the last character "๙"

not only in input-box. the text on web page has this problem, too.

Why this issue still move and move to next mstone ?
Comment 55 by lafo...@chromium.org, Oct 19, 2010
Since we are passed the branch, moving all mstone-8 issues to mstone-9 for triage/punting
Labels: -Mstone-8 Mstone-9
Comment 56 by lafo...@chromium.org, Nov 5, 2010
Given our current velocity, we need to punt 500 bugs from m9. Moving p2 bugs, that are not started and have an owner, to the next milestone. If this issue absolutely needs to be fixed in the current milestone please move it back, however, at this time the focus should be on p1 bugs.

We try to promote Chrome in thai people for a year, but this bug is still an eternity issue! Main issue with promote Google Apps too. You don't need to do a public relation or event promotion of Chrome in Thailand if you don't fix it. Please listen and get attention from the voice of your customer. Or IE9 will take your oppertunity!
Comment 64 by sutea...@gmail.com, Dec 28, 2010
Jshin, Why this bug still moving?
Comment 65 by jshin@chromium.org, Feb 1, 2011
Thank you for all your comments as to how critical this bug is to Thai speakers.
Sorry that it's been left alone so long.

If anybody has idea/time on the issue, please free free to take and work on it. I'll also investigate this issue ASAP (perhaps next Monday).

Hi team,

Thank you so much for following up this. The bug has been fixed and starting
update automatically to Chrome Users. All Thai users should get this version
very soon.
Comment 77 by detectiv...@gmail.com, Mar 10, 2011
Hello
The bug was fixed. But there is another problem that didn't fix yet.

In Thai webpage, at the end of paragraph, point a mouse at the very end so that the pointer ^just started^ to change from normal into text selection.
Then try to drag it to the left.
Note that the last character wasn't selected.

But if your mouse is more far away, the last character will be selected.

This step can be reproduce not only at the end of the text, but at anywhere in the paragraph. Just have your mouse at the very end of that character, and that character won't be selected.

In textbox too. The cursor will be at one character to the left of the selected one if clicking at the very end.

Please compare these steps with english page or english-inputed textbox.

Ragards and thank you very much
