The text above it says "You have chosen to open certain file types automatically after downloading [which ones? where do I make these choices?]. You can clear these settings so that downloaded files aren't automatically opened.". I don't know if the button is ever enabled on Mac. Or on Windows, for that matter, though in that case I can at least imagine how it would become enabled; it's still total suckage that I can see/change those settings.

This might just be an issue on Mac. Reopening. (note, all abusive and duplicate comments were removed).

It looks like the problem is that auto-opened files are removed from the shelf immediately after the download is finished, thus making it hard to disable auto-opening from the shelf item's context menu. Anyway, looks like that button might not be become enabled correctly on OS X, so I guess that's what the bug is about.

Sounds like the always open setting for downloads aren't hooked up for the Mac.

You make the choices from the download shelf ("always open files of this type"). We have explicitly avoided having a manager, seemed like overkill.
