Chrome Version : 3.0.192.2
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 4: FAIL
Firefox 3.x: FAIL (with TabMixPlus add-on: OK)
         IE 7: FAIL
         IE 8: FAIL

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Press ctrl-tab, ctrl-tab, ctrl-tab: moves over all tabs: OK
2. Press ctrl-tab-tab-tab: moves over all tabs: FAIL

What is the expected result?

Pressing ctrl-tab multiple times should flip between two tabs. Pressing tab
multiple times while ctrl is being pressed continuously should flip between
all available tabs.

What happens instead?

ctrl-tab-tab-tab has the same effect as ctrl-tab, ctrl-tab, ctrl-tab

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This feature probably is most important for web developers that wish to
flip between two tabs often to check differences / inconsistencies, but is
also very valuable when working on a page and switching to the manual or
Google results.

Also having the same behaviour for different key combinations is redundant.

While the ctrl-tab functionality has been misimplemented by other browsers
(fortunately there is the TabMixPlus FF plugin to repair it), in desktop
applications in Linux and Windows this behaviour is generally available.

i confirm that Alt+Tab in Windows flips between two windows.
i am not sure of we want to duplicate that behavior though

you can always use Ctrl+Shift+Tab for backwards flipping

Thanks for your quick response, prog...

I can use Ctrl+Shift+Tab to flip through the tabs in reversed order, but that will not
let me flip between two tabs unless I first drag them together (if there are eg five
tabs in between I have to press twelve times to flip between the two). It still can be
done, but not very convenient. This ticket is only about convenience.

Might be possible to write an extension for this, but it might not work very well.

So it won't be added and not possible to add in a plugin.

I see. Well, thanks anyway for your time.
