What is the expected result?

I would like to use a command line option to launch in application and
incognito mode (e.g. --incognito --app=URL) ; this should also be auto-
created when a user creates an application shortcut while in an incognito
window.

What happens instead?

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

This has been mentioned at least once that I know of previously.

There is a patch in review that adds the described functionality at
<http://codereview.chromium.org/4309>.

Yarin, thanks very much for the update. Do you know if the latest build of Chromium
includes a --incognito (or equivalent) command line switch?

The following portion is of the original bug is still reproduced.
"this should also be auto- created when a user creates an application shortcut while
in an incognito window." -- the shortcut created is not in incognito mode.

I believe we have an --incognito switch now on ToT.
