Chromium Version: 18.0.989.0 (Entwickler-Build 115954 Mac OS X)
OS version: Mac OS 10.6.8.
Behavior in Chrome for Windows: not tested
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. have two profiles ('A' and 'B')
2. open a window with profile 'A' and a window with profile 'B'
3. bring the window with profile 'B' to the front and open chrome://settings/personal in this window
4. now delete profile 'B'
What is the expected result?
The window with profile 'B' should close/disappear without to reappear.
What happens instead?
The window of the deleted profile 'B' disappears, then reappears and after that it disappears again as expected.

This is a regression. It happens in Chrome 17.0.963.12 dev and higher. But is doesn't happen in Chrome 16 stable.

I can't reproduce it in latest Canary on Mac (18.0.995.0 canary). Is this still happening for you?

I noticed you mentioned "It happens in Chrome 17.0.963.12 dev and higher.". Does it happen on the beta branch? If so, we might need to merge whatever fixed this to beta.

Hey Alexei, please can you check, if you see this issue in the Chromium Builds? I've tried the same build like that in the canary (r116107). In Chromium it still happens to me ?!?!?! http://commondatastorage.googleapis.com/chromium-browser-snapshots/index.html?path=Mac/116107/

Fix flashing window when deleting profile
Deleting a profile with the sync promo open would cause the delete profile's browser window to temporarily re-open.
The problem was that the sync promo was attempting to navigate to a page when the promo was closed. Fix was to disable the navigation if the browser window was being closed.
