chromium-os - issue #19534

Add support for photo editing in the file browser.

Based on Vlad's work over the past few weeks, we now have a prototype that can perform basic image manipulations. While he is still OOO, let's continue this work.

The work breaks into three areas:

  1. Accessing the photo editor: The photo editor will be accessed from the File Browser. A "Gallery" task should appear in the right panel when an image file is selected.

  2. Navigating the Gallery: We'll need to build the Gallery view, complete with the ribbon of photos, editing, and sharing functionality.

  3. Using the photo editor: Vlad's prototype has several features. For v1, we'll go with a subset of these features: only include crop, brightness/ contrast, rotate, and auto-fix.

This is basically done. See the 'View and Edit' action in filebrowser. Remaining bugs are tracked with label:photoeditor.
