How to configure the CC.NET Monitoring Gadget

The settings of the gadget are accessed clicking on the tool icon at the right of the gadget, under the close button.

The settings windows is made up by 3 pages:

  • Projects
  • Options
  • About

Projects

To add the project you have to click the "Add..." button: that will open another window with a text field and list.

You have enter the url of the dashboard you want to monitor into the text field, and then press the "Get" button.

The url must be in the format http://<servername>/ccnet (assuming the ccnet dashboard has been installed in that folder)

Once the projects appear in the list you can select the ones you want to add (ctlr-click or shift-click to multiple select), and then click the "Add projects" button to go back to project list screen.

Then you can decide to add projects from another server (and you have to click on the "Add..." button again), remove a project (selecting the project and clicking on the "Remove" button) or start monitoring the project clicking on the "OK" button at the bottom of the settings window.

Options

  • The first option allow you to choose whether to show in the monitoring windows all the projects, or to hide the ones that are successfully built and show only the failing ones [ Default is all projects ]
  • The second allow you to specify the refresh interval with which the gadget will query the server for updated informations. [ Default is 30s, a value lower than that will put too much load on the server ]
