You can now launch this app via Java Web Start:
- View youtube, revver and google videos in itunes, video ipods, Apple TV or in your podcast manager of choice.
- Creates RSS/podcast feeds from youtube videos, by user, user favorites, or individual videos.
- Creates RSS/podcast feeds from directories or individual files.
- Merges multiple feeds (toutube, RSS, Atom) into a single feed suitable for iTunes consumption.
- Converts youtube videos and local files to H.264 with AAC audio (one of the few formats supported by Apple TV)
keep an eye (or an RSS reader) on the blog to hear about new features and updates.
CastCluster is a Java application (why?) and requires Java 1.5
optionally, you'll need ffmpeg to do the video conversion.
It has been tested on OSX 10.4 only. It should work fine on Linux. I have also gotten CastCluster to run on windows.. conversion and all.
