Comment by check-ra...@charter.net, Jan 01, 2008

Casio CTK-72010.4.11iMac 20", Core DuoWorks great!! Thanks

Definitely needed the updated driver. The default download did not work for me. It took me awhile to find it. Clicked in the Op-Sys-OSX link on the left menu of the download page, and then I found it.

Comment by ferland.francois, Jan 01, 2008

I actually forgot to update the link on the main page - sorry about that.

Comment by derekjj, Jan 04, 2008

The updated driver is exactly what I needed. Works great for Garage Band.

Casio CTK 720, 10.5.1, 12" G4 Powerbook.....at first it was weird, the keyup event was causing a midi event that I could not control...it was the keyboard though, once I turned the General Midi mode to 'On' it was perfect.

Comment by sk8hellfire, Jan 17, 2008

casio ctk-631, i cant get it working!!!

Comment by ferland.francois, Jan 20, 2008

I did a quick search on Google and the CTK-631 doesn't seem to have a USB interface, and already has MIDI IN and OUT. Could you describe what are you trying to do with your keyboard ?

Casio WK-3300 10.5 MacBook? 13", Core Duo 1.83 Had to restart but works perfectly...you're a genius

Comment by scottdamon, Jan 20, 2008

Casio WK-8000. 20-inch: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac. Didnt work immediately after installation, so I was considering a restart, but as I was about to restart it kicked in and started working. I went ahead and restarted it just to make sure and it has been working wonderfully for me. Hopefully it continues to play well. It was very refreshing to find a solution. Thanks for your hard work on this one!

Comment by nextemail, Jan 22, 2008

Casio Privia PX-200. Worked immediately! Thank you very much.

Comment by JacobJacobson, Feb 18, 2008

This is amazing! Merry Christmas in February! Probably the most useful Mac 3rd Party plug-in I have ever received.

Comment by bloom3799, Feb 19, 2008

I downloaded and expanded the file, but when I click on the icon, it asks me what application I want to open it with. It's a .plugin file and I'm not sure what the next step would be. I'm trying to run my Casio CTK 810 on Pro Tools.

Comment by douglas2000, Feb 23, 2008

LK-280 CDTV works fine. Only tested briefly though .. so far so good!! THANK YOU SO OOOOOO MUCH!!

Comment by doumdi, Mar 29, 2008

Casio Celviano AP-80R Worked perfectly. Macbook Pro 15" Santa Rosa Chipset, Leopard 10.5.2. Thank you Francois!

Comment by muxieduxer, Mar 30, 2008

Casio Celviano AP-500 -- plugin seems to work great. G4 MacBook?, Tiger 10.4.11. Wow! Easy to install, I just dragged the unzipped driver into Library > Audio > MIDI Drivers, then ran Audio Midi Setup (in Applications > Utilities) and no reboot was necessary. GarageBand? picked it up right away.

I had been using a basic M-Audio "UNO" device with the keyboard, and it was OK but native USB is much better. THANK YOU!

Comment by RndPwn, Apr 22, 2008

I see from a recent writer that that the Casio CTK-710 is working with the driver. I have the same machine, downloaded the driver and can't get it to work. I dragged it into Library/audo/midi configurations (that is the way it reads in my menu)... It also weems to want to open with Disk Utility. CAN ANYONE HELP?

Comment by lovemusic1294, Jun 11, 2008

Works with my WK-8000. Thanks a million! This saved me $$ not having to buy a new keyboard!

Comment by rob.chinn, Jun 23, 2008

Works great with my LK-90TV. Thanks so much!!

Hint to others - after you've copied the driver over, go to your Applications/Utilities/ folder and open the Audio MIDI Setup application and click on the MIDI tab and select the Casio icon. Then it should work.

Casio CTK-720 10.5.4 iMac G5 2Ghz 2gig ram Connected in Garage Band Now I can pack away the PC it was connected to! YEA!!!!

Comment by guanche2007, Jul 12, 2008

THANK YOU!!! from Venezuela!!!! Casio CTK-710. Just bought it today July 12th, 2008 and assumed it worked fine for Mac OSX just by being a USB keyboard. This driver is heaven sent. Using Mac Mini G4 OS 10.5.4 ; Garage Band 2.0.2 and some Bias Peak VST Plugins like ARP 2600. I wonder if GB could control the keyboard??? I mean. make the keyboard play MIDI scores. Casio should cater to the Mac community. 95% of pro musicians do own Apple computers.

Comment by dhawald3, Jul 12, 2008

I am planning to buy the CTK 810-IN keyboard which is pressure sensitive and has a Pitch bend wheel. will this driver detect the pressure sensitivity and the pitch bend wheel functions??

please help I am a noob.

Privia PX-320 + MacBookPro? 10.5.4

Had to restart both computer and keyboard, but after that it worked like a charm. Thanks bunches.

Comment by andygrob, Jul 20, 2008

Privia PX-320 + MacBookPro? 10.5.4

Actually I spoke too soon. While the keyboard works great with my MIDI apps, the minute I close the app and try to play the keyboard itself (via the internal speakers), I have intermittent note freezes/hangs/lockups. The keyboard is unplayable until I physically unplug the USB connector from the back.

It's as if the Casio is continuing to look for interaction from the software, even after the software has closed. Any ideas?

Comment by dangerwillrobinsondanger, Aug 24, 2008

CTK-270 MacBook? 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X 10.5.4 Thank you for picking up where Casio left off (which they usually do)

Comment by asotvd, Aug 26, 2008

Casio LK-90TV on mirrored door G4 Tiger 10.4.11

System recognizes driver. Midi setup sends multiple keynotes at once (not sure if this is good or bad - as I'm a first timer) and audio feedback from Casio to computer is of single note - regardless of key pressed. Melody Assistant receives and displays notes and audio, but keyboard is silent on playback. Played with lots of settings on computer and keyboard to no avail. Señor Staff (Senor Staff with a tilde on the N - in case display errs) is the only app I have that yields audible output on the keyboard. Audible output on keyboard is heard on note hovering (more precisely, cursor float or note preview), note placement and playback (and it has a quick access driver menu which obviously recognized the driver without issue). Hopefully this will give some insight. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, or when an update is available. Thanks.

Comment by ejbisme, Sep 07, 2008

Am I correct in assuming that all of the Apple computers listed above have Windows for Mac - an older Mac with only Mac OS 10.3.9 is not compatible with the wk-110, right?

Casio CTK-910 MacBook? Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16GHz Mac OS X 10.5.5 GarageBand? + Logic Express Works really well, thanks a lot!

Note: I had to create the /Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/ directory, as I didn't have any other MIDI Drivers already installed, apparently.

Thanks a lot! I can't believe Casio is so lazy.

Casio WK-110 & macbook 10.5.6 : no problems so far - so easy to use - excellent

Comment by benjaminsen, Jan 13, 2009

Testing on OSX v 10.5.5 using a Casio WK110 I get the following results:

ApplicationResult
GarageBand?Works
SynthesiaFails

I guess GarageBand? is the better test: The driver reports midi input with the same time-stamp which seems to make Synthesia fail. But I guess that's an application problem not a driver problem really.

Anyway thanks from Denmark as well - without this driver I would have had to return the keyboard...

Comment by N.Rozka, Jan 20, 2009

I have a casio PX 575_R and just got this today! it works flawlessly with ableton and garageband ill try protools this weekend!

Comment by brad.chr...@comcast.net, Jan 21, 2009

Privia PX-320, Macbook 2.0 gHZ, running 10.5.4. Works like a charm! It was dumb of me to buy the keyboard without first making sure that there was a Mac driver. I just assumed that Casio would include a Mac driver in the box, or at least post one on their web site. Thank you, ferland.francois! I feel like I owe you some $$!

Comment by bigartandy, Jan 27, 2009

Please, if anyone knows where to find a driver for a casio px-320, I could really use the help. I run os 10.5.6 on an Imac 2.8 GHz intel core 2 duo. Thanks, everyone.

Comment by cras.jmcgee, Mar 07, 2009

Works on my WK-8000! I thought that I had wasted my money on this keyboard! I was about to scale down to a $99 m-audio controller. Yuck! Boy am I glad I found this site/driver. I've considered this an impossibility for 2 years! But not anymore! Thank you a million times over!!!! I'm in shock!

Comment by noelmaher460, Mar 22, 2009

Comment by roland.ottewell, Apr 03, 2009

Thanks for the driver! So far, it works on my iMac G5 (haven't tried it on my Intel yet) running OS 4.x, with Reason 4.0, Logic 7.2, plus all the instruments in my Native Instruments Komplete collection. One funny thing, though, is that I have to turn the volume all the way down so as not to hear the internal sounds along with the VI.

I'm using this in Logic Pro and have a big problem with the playback/record volume. It's way too low - I can barely hear the keyboard no matter what it's playing. Any ideas?

I did not notice the lack of MAC drivers in my CTK-810 and I felt disappointed...now the things are very different, thank you! you did a great job Ferland Francois!

I downloaded first with Safari but the unzip procedure I think it was not good and did not work at all. I tried with Firefox and it was easier to unzip the package.

The driver did not work immediately, even after rebooting, but spontaneously started working and is still working very fine with Garage Band.

CTK-810, MacBook? White, Intel, Leopard

Comment by vinogradovisoleksii, Jul 06, 2009

great stuff, thank you working fine on 10.5.7 with Garage band 09' some points - when you do unzip of file, please keep to unzip package (it's happened if you click into plugin file again). the result may be you will have unziped .plugin foulder where you will see Casio.... file, which try to copy. Garage Band going to core sometimes when i use it but i hope apples will fix it asap..

Comment by PlunketChris, Sep 05, 2009

Works great with my 575-R, now I can create piano parts on something that feels pretty close to a piano, instead of my other midi controller, this makes me very happy!
