Model

During the October meeting we discussed how the program worked and began creating a model as appropriate.

Possible Features:

  • Should be capable of playing classic Risk
  • An optional 3rd level of territory organization
  • Allows for many custom rules to modify gameplay
  • Campaign or mission games
  • Allows for custom/random maps
  • Can record all historical plays allowing for interesting analysis or simply for undo/redo
  • Multiple AI
  • Multiplayer on same device or through the network (local/internet)

A "trigger" mechanism was added to allow for custom actions to take place when certain criteria are met. This could simply be used to implement the cards or bonuses, or could give a user extra armies when rolling three sizes, or to randomly assign a country to a player every time a specific country is overtaken. The possibilities are endless.
