If you have other common questions, post them here and I might include them. Q: Does BWHF Agent detect only autogather/autotrain?A: Hell no! By default, the Agent stops scanning further actions of a player if a hack has been identified. And since autogather/autotrain is the first hack it looks for, that is the most common hack that it will alert for. If you want to know the full hack list that were detected, you can disable this fast scan by unchecking the "During a replay scan if a player is found hacking..." option on the general settings tab. Q: Could it be that someone is alerted for hacking because of lag?A: No. Lag is known and is built into the scan engine. Q: Does BWHF Agent detect maphacks?A: Some but not all by far. Q: Is BWHF Agent allowed on iCCup?A: Yes. Since it does not interact with Starcraft at all (it does not read or write Starcraft's memory), it can be used anywhere with or without any other launchers. Q: Is latency changer (not Chaos LAN latency) considered a hack?A: Not by the Agent. Q: I run the Agent and it detected a hacker but I can't find him in the database. Q: I used the player checker feature and it said: "possible hacker at slot x". What does this mean?A: In the game lobby Starcraft uses a font in which the capital i and the small L looks the same, there is no way to differentiate between them just by looking at them. In cases when a name detected in the lobby which consists some capital i's or small L's and at least one of the variations is on the hacker list, it will say "possible hacker at slot x". Q: Is there a way to view hackers that I reported?A: Yes. On the hacker database page there is a filter: "reported with key". Enter your key there, and reports will be filtered to your key only. Q: My name is on the hacker list but I don't hack. What can I do?A: If you never hack but you're on the hacker list, contact me and try to convience me. My gmail user name is iczaaa. Drop me an email. Q: Does BWHF Agent detect spoofs?A: No. BWHF Agent operates on replays, so there is no way to detect spoofs based on replays. Q: What does the "R" tag mean next to some player names in the Players' Network?A: It means there are hacker reports with that name. The "R" tag is a link, you can click on it and it will list the hacker reports with that name. Q: I applied for a key days ago but I haven't received any response.A: I reply to everyone who applies for a key. Check your spam folder, maybe the response was put there. Or it could that you gave a wrong email address and I was not able to contact you. Q: I'm using a laptop and I can't use the Print screen key. Is there a workaround?A: Yes. You can remap the Print Screen key to another one that is comfortable for you on your computer. You have to use an external program for this, for example KeyTweak or SharpKeys. |

Can I report cheaters from replays not done with the auto-report enabled ? f.e., let's say someone had a hack that bypassed BWHF version 1, now I have version 5 which detects a cheat not previously detected ... is there a way to send those reports ?
Yes. Just send me the replays via email, indicate the gateway on which they were played, and I add them with your key.
Wtf im on the List and i never Hack LOL Is there a way to see the REP and why it counts as a hack?

How does the agent look for multicommand hacks? I ask because when watching a replay where it says there has been a multicommand hack I can't see it. Also the player denies it, and it comes up as the same hack every time I play with him, but he is not in the database.
Send me the replays and I review them.

is it legal stuff?
It violates Blizzards terms of use, so it is not legal. You can get banned for using that. BWHF Agent does not interact with Starcraft, BWHF Agent is legit. You can never get banned for using BWHF Agent.
and how about using chaoslauncher with: apmalert and chaosplugin?
Every program that reads or writes Starcraft's memory are considered hacks and therefore illegal. Chaoslauncher is illegal in this term. But it's unlikely that Blizzard will ban people for using Chaoslauncher.

My account is MANGE and last game played is 2010-03-04 20:51... witch was as a obs and im reported at 23:09 game before that is the day before, and at the time i was loged in as ANIMAL. This must be a fucking joke, 1's again im in the BWHF list (game the 18'th according to list) and last game i played 16'th... some1 is spoofing my name and i dont like to be named as hacker.... Plz remove again. and is there some way to see who is making the spoof?!? Thx for ur help :/

Yo! Works great except... There's no "Print Screen" Key on mac keyboard!!! Iknow how to press (shit + command + 3 ) to get a screen shot, but that doesn't work with the Agent, so...
How do you use the autoscan function (print screen key) in a game lobby on mac keyboard?!?

Hey ICZAAA An on the broodwar chart for hacking but i have never hacked is there any way to remove me from the list or look into, because it has caused me problems when i go to play sc because ppl think i hack my aka is ICE-NUKE
some jealous noob reported me as hacker and didn't submit replay? Where is the replay? I can easily tell if I was spoofed and the guy who guessed my password told me to change it. This website is so irresponsible. Anyone can apparently report a hack. I've got some noob I just rolled saying that the reason I beat him was hack, and as evidence he referred me to this website, where I've apparently been reported. The replay in question isn't even hosted. Pretty bullshit man.
Apparently not everyone can report. You need a key to report.
Regardless, the replay of me supposedly hacking isn't hosted. It doesn't even say what "hack" I was using. It just has an "R" next to my name.
Click on the "R" to list the reports. You can see what hack was used/reported.
Apparently, you have people that reporting players that haven't ever hacked, and as a result I'm getting banned from games by users that use this system. I'm a 45 yr old school player that plays under the name kwazy, and was told tonight I was in this database, and oddly enough I am. I'm not even a very good player, so I play alot of UMS as I suck at 3v3 or 4v4 games. I don't expect you to take my word for it, or even take me out of this, but something is quite wrong when a such a system starts listing people that dispise hacks, and have never used them. If anything over the past few weeks, I can't even get a decent game going with getting drop hacked. Anyway, glad to see such a project ... just a shame it's not working properly. - kwazy

That means the report was sent by an old version of BWHF Agent when it wasn't implemented yet.

So.... what happens now is.... I don't have a premium key cos I haven't donated. fine.
Is it correct to say you have updated a 0KB txt file for hacker cache to those who haven't donated so that we cannot scan hackers who were caught even before the premium thing was implemented?
i understand you have your bandwidth problems, but those cache were there and u just decided to remove it? how about not updating for those w/o premium istead of removing it? the data collected was a collective effort from the community too! (as well as of course the help of your good work, but keeping it there unupdated doesn't use your bandwidth)
so what good is bwhf now for those ppl who got a normal key when they can't even scan old hackers? to work for those who has premium keys? by removing the old cache i don't see it any useful anymore other than helping u to gain premium fees for a program which no longer useful to normal owners i'd say segregating and isolating users from a community-effort based program isn't the brightest move, esp when one lot has to work for the other lot without getting any of the benefits but i could be wrong, u could earn millions from now on since there are so many broodwar players

The client Agent hasn't been changed, I just modified the server. The server denies serving the hacker list to those who do not have a premium key.
The reason for this: I've spent an enormous amount of my free time to develop this system and I've spent my own money to run the server. The users who benefited from all this haven't even donated enough to cover the server costs.
I'm not looking for my development work to be paid, but that is nonsense that you don't even donate enough to cover my costs which is for the users.
I don't think you have any bragging rights: I've developed a free tool, you used it for free, and I even spent money on the server. That is just wrong that I have to pay for it who did the most for the hacker free community.
You can use the tool to scan old hacker replays, to analyise replays, auto-save replays and all other things including hacker detection after games. The pre-game hacker alert is just one feature that has been disabled for those who didn't donate anything (although this might the the most useful feature), and that's because this requires server resources which is not free, which costs me money.
And leaving the hacker list cache file would be bad: I manage the hacker list by removing false and spoofed reports. If your cache would remain unchanged, you would constantly think players are hackers who have already been removed from the hacker list.
but that also means if i found a old agent hacker cache somewhere in my backup files I will be able to scan old hackers :) i know u put in all the work so kudos to you but yea if u wanna remove old cache to remove false or spoof that's fine, but that's just another big flaw in this system (unfortunately). However, what incentive does a normal key holder have for reporting player? if people who report players decrease, wouldn't that be bad for this community? (or you assume they don't find out themselves and just keep the key running)
Yes, if less people report, that's bad for the community. Even if you can't check hackers before game, you can publish them. On the web page everyone (including those who only have a normal key or even those who do not have a key) can check the hacker list. And if in the future you get a premium key, you will benefit from it.
And yes, it might work for you with an old cache, but hackers know about BWHF, so many of them changes accounts. With an old, static cache you will be completely unprotected vs them. And there's also the aforementioned problem that your Agent will now know about players that have been removed.

iczaaa, I don't know how to get ahold of you but my account KyjO-X17 has been listed with hacks. You can see my name is commonly spoofed with 2 counts of /spoof KyjO-X17 on the database. I'm sure your a busy guy but if you could help me out that'd be great.

Username: Sparkey316 It is pretty obvious that someone spoofed my name who hacks because I pretty much always play Protoss and the only time out of 103 records that indicate I was hacking says I was playing zerg.. email andrew.mahlen@gmail.com. Please take me off of your hacklist.. Maybe you should make a "Safe List" because this is the 2nd time i have had to indicate you that someone spoofed my name.. The last time was 10ish months ago or something?

Hello all! I dont know why, but some guys who played with me and my friends thought i hack, and that is not true!!! Just because i was better then them is doenst mean i hack, this is noobish! So they add me on the hackers list. I play for 9 years, after 7000 games, i dont need to hack to win games! There is no more fun... so if i start hacking, i quit playing!!!! If someone has the possibility, please remove me from the hackers list, because i dont deserve to be there...
