Describing BurstCMS support on Microsoft Windows operating systems

Introduction

Currently, support for BurstCMS on the Microsoft Windows operating system is undecided. Below are several arguments for and against supporting Microsoft Windows.

Why BurstCMS should support Windows

PHP works very well on Windows, as well as MySQL and PostgreSQL. Considering that many developers have access to a copy of Windows, it is not too much of them to ask to test their third party modules and components on Windows.

The lack of Windows support will turn away many possible BurstCMS users.

Why BurstCMS should not support Windows

If BurstCMS supports Windows, then third party developers also have to test their modules and components on Windows too. This requires the third party developers to have access to legal copy of Windows. Developers all around the world, and in varying economic situations might not be able to afford a legal copy of Windows. But nearly all developers with an Internet connection can obtain Linux or BSD.

I think that lack of windows support wont turn away "many" windows users. I think it may turn just some.
