The WfMC XPDL2.1 specification defines the schema and structural requirements for XML documents that persist business processes and support process interchange between vendor tools that conform to the standard. This project provides a web-based tool for testing XML documents and generating an analysis of all conformance problems, including graphical representation. Using a browser, you can upload a file and see a list of all schema violations and structural integrity problems. The tool will eventually generate an on-the-fly visual representation of the diagrams described in the xml document. The current version tests for conformance to the SIMPLE and STANDARD portability classes defined in the specification. XPDL2.1 contains all the elements in BPMN1.2. When the BPMN 2.0 specification is approved by the OMG, the software will be updated to support any changes/additions. The OMG BPMN2.0 specification defines the schema and structural requirements for XML documents that persist BPMN documents. The specification includes many changes and additions to the prior version: BPMN1.2. This project will develop validation tools that test for portability conformance of XML documents that are in the BPMN2.0 serialization format. The project will develop extensions to the schema to support direct inclusion of graphics information required for process interchange and round-trip capabilities. |
