BookGlutton is a Social Reading Platform

BookGlutton helps you:

• Read Books in a browser - accessible anywhere (yay!)
• Create a virtual group
• Attach a note to any paragraph (others can respond)
• Chat in real-time inside any chapter of the book
• Buy a book or read from our free library
• Upload books (EPUBS) and privately share them with your group

The Site also offers

• An HTML -->EPUB converter (Free)

If you can follow the example we provide, you can create a valid EPUB. It's a little work, but it's solid. Then read this EPUB file on BookGlutton or on any system that allows you to import EPUBS (ibooks, stanza, nook, etc). Create an EPUB.

• An Embeddable Widget

Embed any book in a website using our widget. Grab the widget from inside a book (lower right-hand corner). If the book is for sale (and only a preview portion is visible), only the preview portion is visible to people using the widget until they log in. See an example of *the widget* (right margin).

• A Store

Preview a percentage of the book, with the option to buy it. If a group is reading the book, the members who have purchased it will be able to read the whole thing, while the others will be able to read and comment just on the preview portions. Usually a preview is spread throughout the book (ex. the first 10 paragraphs of each chapter). You may purchase the book or purchase a gift code for someone else. We have a lot of books.
