Firefox extension that detects when user is on a blog post. If they spend more than 15 seconds, the url of the post is twittered to a chosen account.

Installation

To install, drag this link to your browser location bar: (Up where it currently says "code.google.com/p/blogscrobbler")

http://blogscrobbler.googlecode.com/files/blogscrobbler-1.0.1.xpi

(Alternatively, if you click on the link you'll need to jump through some hoops to allow it to be installed.)

After restarting Firefox, look for the "Blog Scrobbler Options" in the Tools menu.

You will need to create a Twitter account where your scrobbled posts will be recorded.

Widget

You can use the usual Twitter widgets to display a list of recently scrobbled posts.

History

This project was a fun weekend project inspired by this blog post: http://www.avc.com/a_vc/2009/02/the-blogroll-i-want-for-avc.html

The code comes from the Attentiontrust Recorder (http://attentiontrust.org) and the Outfoxed extension (http://getoutfoxed.com). Note that it was written by a former CTO who hasn't written a lot of code for the last few years. :)
