Introduction
We're current defining the project deliverables, exploring the architectural possibilities, looking for source code to re-use, etc. This is the Phase I project. We describe a Phase II in which we would develop a proper web-service based upon the prototype. The Phase II work is really just a stake in the ground at this point.

| Simple application-based prosopography tool to build onomasticon from TEI input, with references to documents, uncertainty mappings (but dumb probabilities). | Improve prosopography tool to account for domain of transactions, etc. This requires additional TEI markup as well. How hard to account for declared roles other than trivial familial roles? There are a series of regular descriptions of relations, such as adjacent land-owners, etc. These may help to disambiguate folks. Slave sales will sometimes have reference to a previous owner, helping to disambiguate. | ?? | |
