ForYourEarsOnly
Only for you.
For Your Ears OnlyFor Your Ears Only is a Symbian app that automatically pauses the music player when the headset is disconnected. It is inspired by how Android works, and also headphone daemon for Maemo. At the moment, only Symbian^1 (S60 5th edition) onwards is supported. Specifically, it has been tested on the Nokia 5800. I believe it is possible to adapt it for 3rd edition, but I haven't had time to look at it closely. It does not work on Samsung i8910 (Omnia HD). For Your Ears Only is a rough prototype, and should be improved with a background running auto starting daemon. Usage

Hallelujah! Been searchin so long for YOUR tool, great! If you´d find a way to make it S60v3-compatible you would be truly me hero of the month! Thats a must-have killer-app imho - go on! Big up to you!
Second that, would love to have S60 3rd edition support too.
You are our saviors! But, please, please... remember about poor s60 3rd edition users... :(
wonderful app.certificate not valid anymore though.
Does this work with the Nokia Podcasting app? If not, could it? Please??
Yes I'll try to make it work on 3rd edition too, but it's completely different APIs there.
Since the Nokia Podcasting app does not have its own player, but relies on the Music Player, it should work fine.
Hi, I've just tried this on my Samsung Omnia i8910. Sadly it fails halfway across the installation bar simply saying "Unable to install". A shame since it is a great idea.
Sadly I don't have an i8910 to test on. ForYourEarsOnly depends on "plug in APIs", that likely are not included on the i8910. Maybe they will appear in the next firmware update.
HI, i installed the app on my Nokia 5800 Musicxpress and followed the instructions carefully, but still when i pull out the headset the music keeps on playing. please advise.
thank you, shuki.
If you're using the normal music player, I don't see why it doesn't work. So the sound comes through your speakers when you pull out the headset?
