Chat should be possible from a native web page. Identity information should be enhanced by website, connecting profile, Google Group ID, and IRC nick. Logs should be searchable immediately and history should be easy to browse. There should be integration with SMS and other microblogging/messaging options, including NNTP through Gmane. |

I've now got a Java client that allows chatting on the IRC channel. I've also now added the ability for users to create their own home pages based on their OpenID (http://beagleboard.org/user). There are some issues with certain OpenID URLs. I played with http://beagleboard.org/googlefriendconnect. |

"I've also now added the ability for users to create their own home pages based on their OpenID (http://beagleboard.org/user)": * Do you like to announce this at mailing list? * Do you like to give all details how to change/edit a page at beagleboard.org? Sorry, but I never understood it ;) Something like git checkout & edit & check in ? |

There should now be an "edit" link on your user page when you log-in. The link is in the footer of the page. |

I've switched to webchat.freenode.net for now. |
