awe6 is game inverted: a scalable, flexible and intuitive framework for the rapid development of quality games.

Please note if using Haxe 2.09 and hxcpp 2.09 see this workaround and get the latest Text class.

Adopting an inversion-of-control + entity-component concept awe6 comes with both big ideas and batteries included: assets, inputs, audio, session, scenes and preloading are handled "out of the box".

Developed in Haxe, awe6 offers a unified approach towards developing games targeting Flash, HTML5, desktop, Android and iPhone.

Current Status

RC 1.0.391 was posted to haxelib on January 31 2012. This major release merges the "multiDrivers" branch which seamlessly targets all significant platforms: Flash / SWF / AS3, JS / HTML5, CPP / Android / iOS. It is stable, proven in recent commercial releases (SWF), and has a handy toolset in the form of FlashDevelop templates.

First quarter 2012 efforts focused on PublicPresentations: awe6 featured at both DroidCon 2012 in Berlin and Haxe WWX 2012 in Paris. Our efforts now turn towards more tutorials and more games. Please help!
