Comments using ATV-BootLoader

This the wiki page for general comments about atv-bootloader. I can see wiki page hits and watch the download counts but that does not give me a good sense of how well atv-bootloader is working for everyone. So, add a comment if you want and tell me (and others) your experiences.

Looking great, I'm in the process of getting my mythfrontend going, and I appreciate your work!

feature request: can reiserfs support be added to the kernel?

Comment by project member sdavi...@gmail.com, May 9, 2008

As long as it's small in disk size I can look into adding it.

I just installed Ubuntu Hardy on my Apple TV. I couldn't believe how easy it was, due to your excellent documentation. XvMC works a treat and it makes a great MythTV and XBMC frontend.

Installed Mythbuntu 8.04 on 2x ATVs about two weeks ago and so far both are working great. One is even pushing 720P HD over it's built in wireless card (802.11n). Thanks for all the hard work!

could you put up an area for pre-compiled mythtv i386 trunk? I would be willing to upload a deb file every week or so...

Thank you, I have Mythbuntu running on my ATV!

Thanks Scott for your excellent effort. I'm running the latest ubuntu desktop (2.6.24-19-generic #1) on the ATV's PATA (after shrinking the Media partition). I'm still an uber-noob and have learned a lot from your wiki. I especially appreciate the code snippets.

Hey Scott, thanks for the "Creator". Once I figured out what I was doing, it ran without a hitch. One thing I would like would be to use Nito. Is it possible to add that as a file in a future version. Then it would be easy for non-techies like myself to add Perian, enable SSH and AFP, install Couch surfer, etc. Thanks, Mike.

When starting the applicaton I just have to wait a couple of secs before it hangs. When I fastly click the desired options it and start the process of making the patchstick it hangs. I'll wait for an update on this thing. If the application to make the USB stick isn't errorfree I am not going this thing to touch my ATV. Sorry guys

Wrong site for atvusb-creator questions/comments.

However, you comments don't really help us figure out what problem you are having and provide a solution. But I can understand the frustration, this is a work in progress and it might be better for you to wait until the next release.
