Atlanta PerlMongers (Atlanta.pm) has formed a Coding SIG (Special Interest Group).
The intent of the Coding SIG is to help its members to:
- Stay current on modern open-source collaboration tools and techniques
- Contribute to the common good by improving or creating FOSS Perl projects
Proposed projects:
- Test suite improvements to CPAN Perl modules (through the Phalanx initiative)
- Bio-informatics projects (sponsored by Emory)
Tools and techniques:
- Version Control (SVN)
- IRC
- Pair Programming
- Bug and Issues Tracking
- Agile / XP
- Test and Process Automation
Our next meeting is Thursday, March 23rd, from 9:30PM to 10:00PM, Eastern Time. If you are unable to attend, please try us on IRC during the meeting time. If we see any traffic, we will appoint someone to transcribe important points, and will answer questions remotely.
