I am looking into a better way of hiding the dock icons. The LSUIElement is unsupported and can cause numerous problems as noted here: http://codesorcery.net/2008/02/06/feature-requests-versus-the-right-way-to-do-it. Because I don't have the source to the apps I am hiding, the proposed method will not work. The only other way I have found, though I haven't tried is to use NSWorkspace's launchApplication:showIcon:autolaunch: method. If anyone has any thoughts on this please let me know by posting to the Apphider-discuss group.
