A software repository for user-written code to reduce and analyze data taken from the APO 3.5m telescope. Russell Owen wrote the telescope interface code TUI. The official data reduction package for TripleSpec is spextool and there is a version specifically written for use at APO. This tool is excellent for stellar spectroscopy and good for extended emission that is <<42", but is not an ideal tool for "long-slit spectroscopy" of the sort commonly used in Galactic star forming regions and HH objects. The IRAF pipeline is a semi-useful alternative. See the mercurialuse page for instructions on how to commit code. |
