Can't create a repeating event on the Droid like Tues and Thurs at 2:00 for
the next 4 weeks. I can do it on Google calendar and then synch to the
Droid, but would like to be able to do it on the mobiule device. Thanks.

Just embellishing on the above comment: it would be nice to have more comprehensive
control over repetition in the Android Calendar. EG From my phone it is impossible
to create an event which only repeats bi weekly. Seems this would be a pretty easy
effort to fix. Adding a few menu layers so you can choose "Weekly" then select a
list of days then selecting a 1, 2, or 3 (etc) to indicate Tues and Thurs of
every/every other/every third week, then similar with Monthly, expanding everything
out to get really advanced repetition would be awesome. Especially since most of
these things can be done in GCalendar but not on the phone!

Anyways I may just be rambling but I definitely would love to see this enhancement.

I really hope they can get this fixed soon. I need an option for recurring event
that says "Every other week" as that is how my schedule is for work. As for now I
have to manually enter each month and have no way of forecasting future months/days off.

Just one more supporting voice for this request. My only real complaint about my
droid is the inferior calendar capabilities and yet as a "PDA" it's one of the
biggest needs I have with the device.

Would love to see this added and I think TreadStoneIT outlined it quite nicely above.

I need a calendar like the palm on android. I REALLY need more recurring event options or a "custom" recurring event option.

I just wonder why my old WM6 device has SOOO MANY options regarding event recurrence, and Android is so limited in this matter. Strange is, that in Google web calendar options are good and comparable to what I know from WM6. BUT after a sync to Android, possibilities are gone...VERY SAD AND FOR ME VERY IMPORTANT REASON TO STAY ON WM6 yet for a while. I'm long-time Linux user, so I would like to change my WM device to Android/Maemo or other linux derivate as soon as possible.

Can ppl of Google fix this? I use my PDA primary as phone/diary! so it's essential for me.

Great thx.

I just received my Droid a few days ago. The calendar is critical to me and I am not happy about not having the capability to enter bi-weekly or custom event repeats. It's an important fix, hopefully an easy one, as well.

Just got my DroidX and I love it so far. However. I use the calendar alot and the one on the DroidX does not offer a bi-weekly recurrence option which is absolutely vital for me. Without it, I basically cannot use the calendar. Any suggestions where I can install a calendar with that option? Help! Please!

if your work calendar (as in microsoft) allows 2 week repeat, which it does, you should be able to sync that work email address calendar to your phone. Just got my droid and getting ready to try that. The work email address would have to be set up under corporate in settings, not just regular email.

Totally agree!! I am switching from a BB and new I would be losing some of the more "business-like" abilities, but the calendar on the phone is so basic. It would be nice to be able add an event and have all the options for recurrence. Daily, and then every x days, weekly, and then every x weeks.

Very important and not complicated. my palm centro did this easily. when I switched to Droid I assumed it would be a feature and was amazed to see how simplistic the calendar is. pls fix for next version. thank you.

It seems to be basic calender functionality that's missing here - we should be able to repeat an event every 'n' days/weeks/months. Please fix.

Yes, calendar needs an End Date under repetition options when entering a reoccurring event.

Yes, the non standard repetition options are a must. Please ad thi capability to android's calendar. I do not want to have to download a calendar app from the market for something like this and have to worry about compatibility issues later on.

I am a Nurse and I have a very odd work schedule. I want the ability to set reoccuring events to every other week. I work every other Mon and friday, every other Wed, every other Sat. Night. I really hate having to make a reoccuring event and then have to go through 12 months of deleting half of them. This is a very poor setup.

Hi. You should try an app called 'Business Calendar'. It's available on the market, with both free and paid versions.
But even the free version allows this kind of repeating events... Plus, it looks awesome! ;)

The best way I've found for recurring events, like a job schedule, is to set them up on your computer. When you're in your gmail, on the top of the screen there's a link to your calendar. Add a new event, and then click the button that says "Repeat..." and you can set the schedule up much MUCH more specific that the android app can. Then it'll synchronize with your phone and you'll have everything set up. I attached a screenshot setting up commenter 17's first part of their schedule :)

Why Minimal feature for a calendar are still missing on a main application for a smartphone. It not just important for user to be able to locate a star in the sky with application made by google. The main use of smartphone is contact , phone, calendar, music and other depending of user. And a big business like google can make a change on a calendar in a work day with 1 or 2 programmers. I need to make repeat like the web interface allow...(picture in the post 19) So I can manage my calendar in any place other then in front of my computer. Thank You!

I agree, I know have an old phone that can do more than the new phones today on calendar (even iPhone, WP7 or Android calendar).
If you need a computer to entering an advanced apointment, this is not good.
