Issue 39831: [ADT21] [NDK-r8c] C/C++ Indexer doesn't work correctly if eclipse is started from a path containing spaces

Reported by timo.ste...@googlemail.com, Nov 16, 2012
1. Copy "hello-gl2" sample from NDK to some location - let's call it "X"
2. Start eclipse from a path which contains no spaces
3. Create a new workspace
4. Set path to NDK in "Window" -> "Preferences" -> "Android" -> "NDK"
5. Import sample "hello-gl2" from location "X" as Android project
6. Right click on project "Android Tools" -> "Add Native Support..."
7. In the "Add Android Native Support" write as library name "libgl2jni"
8. Open gl_code.cpp...
Observed behaviour: Everything is alright - include pathes has been resolved out of the box.

1. Copy "hello-gl2" sample from NDK to some other location - let's call it "Y"
2. Start eclipse from a path which contains spaces
3. Create a new workspace
4. Set path to NDK in "Window" -> "Preferences" -> "Android" -> "NDK"
5. Import sample "hello-gl2" from location "Y" as Android project
6. Right click on project "Android Tools" -> "Add Native Support..."
7. In the "Add Android Native Support" write as library name "libgl2jni"
8. Open gl_code.cpp...
Observed behaviour: Question marks will be shown at include statements, moving the mouse above it tells the user "Unresolved inclusion: ..." -> include pathes need to be added by hand through project settings.
Even worse is that in this case also preprocessor macros defined by the toolchain (like ANDROID or __ANDROID__) or user defined macros in the *.mk files are unknown to the indexer - whereas in the first case it works too.
Note: Also cleaning and building the project again or/and rebuilding the index or/and Re-resolve Unresolved Includes" doesn't fix the problem
Expected behaviour: No errors are shown, same result as using a path without spaces

Verified with Eclipse 3.8 and 4.2.1 and ADT 21.0.0 (official release).

Hi,
sometimes, when I start a new call my screen is black (I can view only three virtual buttons.
After 10 seconds it reboot itself.

I suppose there is a problem with proximity sensor and GSM module.

On internet maybe is a problem only on newest devices made in august 2012

my device is:

Samsung Galaxy Nexus GT-i9250
Android version: 4.1.1 (JRO03C)

How to predefine macro (not by #define within the source) so it could be read by indexer?

Confirmed. However; May be an issue with Eclipse C/C++ Dev Tools.
Paths configuration window shows nothing unless Eclipse is in a directory with no spaces.

Build 7601 x86-64

Eclipse SDK:
Version: 4.2.2
