I can see that I'm running HSPL10.95.3000 for my SPL, but the only options I have are alt-l, alt-s and alt-w. I am unable to use the alt-b command to backup my device. Any ideas?
@herringblake : and anyone else that has this issue, you need to download the 1.43 recovery zip file, and install it on your phone. I was using JF1.51 and thought it would revert me but it did not. Download 1.43 recovery zip, copy it to your sd card, rename it to update.zip, and then restart holding home+power, at the boot screen hit alt+l, and then alt+s, then it will reboot on it's own. The next time you boot while holding home it will give you the added alt+b option, and the alt+x options. I'm running JF1.51 still : )
Right. If you have never copied the zipped jf1.43recovery folder to the sd card and flashed it to the phone, you aren't able to use nandroid. After you flash this update, it's entirely different when you boot into recvery mode via home+back.
Also there is now a newer/better recovery image available (use the trackball instead of having to open the keyboard tray, and confirmation on wipes, as well as making nandroid backups, etc). It's available here: http://n0rp.chemlab.org/android/cm-recovery-1.2.img
anyone know if you can install the jf1.43 recovery zip while your running cyanogen 3.4.6 rom with no probs? I would like to do a nandroid backup but im worried this recovery might effect the rom?
Thank you ste...@miano.com, nandroid was not working (no alt+B option ), so I installed jfv1.43recovery.zip, and that fixed it. So thank you.
"at this point you should backup your phone via nandroid".
AT WHAT POINT? Where to get nandroid? Where to install it? All these unanswered questions.
