Installing update... Installation Aborted
Is this for T-Mobile UK?
doesn't work. Installation aborted. (on G1)
E:Failure at line 2:
I also received "Failure at line 2".
I get
Same thing. This is getting annoying, no one seems to know how to fix this. Sigh... Come on Android!!!
Hey people, I had the same problem too but I finally found what I was overlook... I tried to flash my G1 several times but it keep saying Error Line 2 and sh*t... I was so f*cking fustrate and almost decided not to update my phone anymore... Then I relaized something....something in detail that most human would overlook... For those people who still having similar problem... I suggest you to check out your current "Build number" in Settings>>About Phone, and the check carefully with the name of the file that you guy use to update to 1.6... Got it? I was laughing at myself so hard for being dumbass, now I'm happy with latest stock 1.6 firmware
For those official T-mobile G1 with Error at line 2 problem. Try updating to CRC1 update first and then update to 1.6. Seem to work for me.
What Patrick3057 means (and does not explain), is that you have to read the file name, there is an update path, and it tells you on the file name, what it is updating, and from which rom, so, you have to follow that path. example: if you want to install signed-kila-CRC1-from-CRB43-FIX.7ca4a1d7
on the file name, it says it's CRC1 and you can install it if you have CRB43, if not, then it will fail.
