What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Settings
2. Click "About phone"
3. Click "System Tutorial"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected some sort of user manual/help. Instead, crashes with the message
"The application Settings (process has stopped
unexpectedly. Please try again."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Week-42 build (2009-10-12).

Please provide any additional information below.

requires and/or friends
(and it works if you got all non-free google stuff installed, tutorial is used as
part of setupwizard app)

larlin289: /me think that its good idea to include script that would auto
download/extract/install google stuff via adb
Oct 16, 2009
I don't believe that is permitted under Google's licenses. This is why (IIRC)
Cyanogenmod now requires you to install it onto a phone that already has the apps on
it as it's not permitted to remove them from the phone in the first place.

I think it's a very bad idea to encourage anyone to use the nonfree google parts in a
way that is not permitted by the license.

Either we make some replacement open source versions or we replace the applications
that require the nonfree parts.

The best solution for this bug may be to disable the "System Tutorial" menu option.
If Google releases the Tutorial app we can re-enable it.
