What is Agile LampThe Agile Lamp is a commercial USB lava lamp product that will be available in the future from the AgileVille Store. The idea is to provide a simple device for use in build/TDD feedback setups. The Agile Lamp project is an opensource project providing a userspace hardware driver and client software integrating with CruiseControl and cruisecontrol.rb build servers. The project is open to accepting patches and suggestions for extending support to other build feedback devices and technologies. Download and InstallationThe best information for installing the driver for Agile Lamp is available here. The main way to install the agilelamp-driver (allowing simple control of the lamp) is to get the ruby gem with sudo gem install agilelamp-driver and follow the install instructions. Gems are published to the Rubyforge website here. In general, installation of the agilelamp-driver is dependent on having basic compilation tools installed on the system (for example, the build-essential package on Debian systems, and the XCode development tools installed from the MacOS CD) and having libusb compiled and installed from source (a next development step is to install libusb along with the agilelamp-driver gem). Source code is available from git repositories here. Picturesgreen
