6jet is my own homemade version of Salt Lake City's Gateway fountain (but with many, many less jets, 16 in total). I made it a while back, and I decided to redo the software but make it open-source this time.

If anyone wants info on how to build themselves one of these fountains, feel free to contact me. You'll need to do a lot of soldering, but the circuit board components aren't that expensive and are trivial to install. The expensive thing is the sprinkler valve that is needed for each jet. You can get these for around $10 to $20, so you're looking at anywhere from $180 to $360 just for the sprinkler valves. For the entire fountain, I'd estimate you'd need to spend around $400. A fountain with only 6 jets could be built for around $150 or so.

If you've used 6jet Designer to create a jet pattern for some music, I'd be happy to play it on the actual 6jet fountain and send you a video. Send me an email if you'd like me to (look for my email address to the right, under project managers). Note, however, that I won't play songs that are obscene or vulgar in any way. If you're not sure whether a song would qualify, send me an email with the song's lyrics or a link to a website that has the song's lyrics.

There are four separate programs that make up 6jet: 6jet Controller, 6jet Designer, 6jet Music, and 6jet Server. I will post a download for each of these as I complete them.

Once I get everything back up and running, I'll post a video of 6jet in action.
