Rafe Kaplan
Rafe Kaplan worked for 5 years with the Human Rights Data Analysis Group, integrating data formats of various types in to a form useful for large scale statistical analysis, building flexible tools for human rights workers around the world, teaching multinational groups of technicians data management techniques and working on complex record linkage pipelines. He joined Google in June of 2007 and became one of the core engineers working on Google AppEngine. In this role he has worked on various infrastructure components, built a few API's and is the primary maintainer for the Datastore Model API.
Rajesh Chandrashekaran
Rajesh Chandrashekaran works as a Software Engineer at Google. He has helped develop a lot of the infrastructure that backs the google desktop gadgets runtime that he will share in his presentation. Prior to this, Rajesh has had a long history of building client software application platforms at Microsoft where he has helped build products like .NET, Visual Studio, Windows. In his spare time, he likes experimenting with his guitar and spending time with his family.
Anash Oommen
Anash Oommen is a Developer Programs Engineer with Google, and works to promote Google's APIs and technologies. He is currently engaging the international Web development community with OpenSocial API and Google AdWords API. Before Google, Anash was a senior software engineer and team lead at Compro Technologies Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi in Microsoft .NET technologies. Anash holds an MS from BITS, Pilani.
Rajdeep Dua
Rajdeep is with the Google Developer Relations team working on OpenSocial Advocacy. He has around 10 years of experience in middleware, web services and integration space. Before joining Google, he was leading development efforts for CSF: Connected Services Framework initiative in Microsoft India. He has also been associated with JBoss JMS open source development in the past. Rajdeep holds an MBA from IIM Lucknow, India.
Gokul Nath Babu Manoharan
Gokul is a Software Engineer in Google Bangalore. He has been with the Indic team and has led several successful launches in this area. Gokul has studied at Anna University, and worked at Trilogy before joining Google.
Anupama Dutta
Anupama is a Software Engineer at Google Bangalore. She has been central to Google's Indic team and among her accomplishments, she has led the transliteration team in delivering several successful launches. Anupama has studied at M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology as well as IIT Bombay. She also speaks five languages, which could be one reason for her interest in this project.
Rahul Roy-Chowdhury
Rahul is a Product Manager at Google Bangalore. His primary focus has been to drive Google's Indic language strategy; he firmly believes that there is a large population of Indic speakers waiting for a better online experience and wants to do his part to make it happen. Rahul has studied at Columbia and Stanford Universities.
Lalitesh Katragadda
Lalitesh works in Google engineering and his interests are in geo data, machine vision and machine learning. Before joining Google, Lalitesh briefly served on the faculty of Carnegie Mellon and went on to found a robotics start-up which was acquired by Google. Lalitesh has presented papers for and chaired several conferences in Space Robotics, and is responsible for initiating and leading the CMU Lunar Rover program until 1997. At Google, Lalitesh co-founded Google India and was its founding Joint Center Head for two years. He has started or co-founded several projects at Google including Google Transliteration, Google Finance and several of its internal systems. He is currently working on Google Map Maker which he created to help organize deep geo data globally.
Lalitesh recieved his Ph.D. from CMU in Robotics and a M.S. from the CMU school of Computer Science. He also holds a M.S. from Stanford University's Design Division, and a M.S in Aerospace from Iowa State. His B-Tech was from IIT-Bombay in Aeronautical Engg.
Sanjay Jain
Sanjay works in the Google product team in Bangalore, where his primary focus is the Google Map Maker product. Prior to his current role, he was part of the Google engineering team. He has been an engineer, and an entrepreneur during a 19-year career that has seen him at Sun Microsystems, found a company, work at other startups, and at TIBCO before joining Google.
Sanjay holds a MS degree in Computer Science from UCLA, and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay.
Anirudh Dewani
Anirudh Dewani is working with Google Relations team. His main interests are Google Apps, Google App Engine, GWT Google APIs, Java, J2EE, and AJAX. Previously he has been working on Enterprise Java and middleware technologies like JMS,Web services, XML-RPC as well as open source frameworks like Spring and Hibernate. He has also been involved with Unisys on platform engineering for a 4GL.
Sumit Chandel
Sumit Chandel is a Developer Programs Engineer working on the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) project. You'll find him posting on the GWT forums, reaching out to developers at conferences, or perhaps grabbing a snack at the Google cafe. When he's not thinking about GWT, he likes to play Tekken competitively and tour the globe.
