cocos2d for android is a framework for building 2D games,demos,and other graphical/interactive application.It is based on the <a href="http://code.google.com/p/cocos2d-iphone/">cocos2d-iphone</a> design:it uses the same API,but instead of using objective-c it uses java.

Cocos2d++ is based on Cocos2d written in Python and Cocos2d-iphone written in Objective-C but it use C++ language. C++ is used on several plateform so it could be run on smartphones, PC, netbooks etc...
