A collection of scripts to do MPEG-4 AVC/AAC encoding batch runs. Real work is done by mplayer, avidemux, and mp4box.

The goal of this personal project is to create reference implementation of H264/AVC codec completely in Python. In this way one can easily experiment on improvement of specific video coding modules in order to enhance the overall compression performance, coder/decoder complexity or scalability.

The Joint Video Team of the ITU-VCEG and the ISO/IECMPEG has now also standardized a Scalable Video Coding(SVC)extension of the H.264/AVC standard. We will implement the Encoding & Decoding algorithm by C/CPP/Assembly(X86), hope it will be useful.
