What Say U? is a gadget application built on OpenSocial platform which enables the owner of the application to post a question and get opinions/say from his or her friends. Friends of the owner will be able to see the question and submit their say to the topic in question. The list of what users (friends and including the owner of the application) said is displayed and can be reloaded real-time in the event any of the users submitted their opinions at the same time. This is different with a Wall or comments application as it is up to the owner of the application to submit a question for opinions. Users can then choose to participate in the topic or submit a question themselves in their own What Say U? application. This can be thought as a way of micro-blogging which also highly attracts interaction among friends.

The app opens up the social circle of the viewer, bringing the viewer out from his home out to outside to mix around with other like minded people with similar interests. The app will suggests events and activities (that the viewer is interested in, based on his interests) held around the area which the user is. The viewer can also see what activities his/her friends have attended or interested in. When the viewer selects a particular event, e.g. "Defcon 2008", the viewer can see a list of other events which people who have signed up for this conference/shown interest in
We tend to expand this application to mobile platforms eg. android or iphone app, For example, a person might not know where to go on Friday nights. So he launches our app on his android or iphone and searches for "restaurants promotions or parties" tag and states the area of coverage. (10km from where his GPS location is) and it will identifies restaurants having promotions within 10KM of where he is from, or any clubs having any parties...
Through the application, other companies can list promo codes which the users of this app can get discounts or even free passes. Our main website will search for events on major events site and update its datebase so that any viewer can find updated events. Anyone can also create a private event restricted to selected friends or people with the passcode to join the event. We have made use primarily of Google services like Google Maps, Google App engine and Google Translate.
