Case Study: Slide

Who They Are

Slide is the largest social software developer in the world. Launched in 2005, Slide applications now reach more than 143 million people each month, or more than 30 percent of the U.S. and 15 percent of the global Internet audience. Slide helps people express themselves and tell stories through personalized photos and videos created on the Slide network and viewed anywhere on the web or desktop.

YouTube and Slide

Slide is all about sharing photos, videos and social applications online. Video represents a significant part of the media shared on the Slide network and the new player tools allow us to seamlessly integrate the YouTube experience into Slide’s applications.

What They Did

The video section of the popular FunWall application for social networks is now a better browsing experience for FunWall users. YouTube’s new APIs allow Slide to present the user with a playlist of currently popular videos propagating through FunWall’s network. Slide is now able to cue, play and present the option of sharing the viewed videos in a seamless manner.
