The Google Analytics Trusted Tester Program is a testing ground for Google Analytics' beta features. As a member of this program, you will be first to try out new Google Analytics features before they are available to a wider audience. In so doing, you will also help us accelerate our pace of innovation while maintaining the quality and reliability of our product. We aim to deliver better features based on your input and experience, and this is how you can distinguish yourself as a leading member of the Google Analytics community. If you are not yet a member of the Google Analytics Trusted Tester Program, you can apply to become one using our online form.
Current Trusted Testers have recently tried out such features as: Event Tracking, Data Sharing, and Outbound Links.
To participate in the Trusted Tester Program, submit an application using our online form. Many of the beta features require no further action from you--great new reports will simply appear in your account! For other beta features, however, you will need to insert an additional beta tracking code on your website pages. Once this is done, new tracking and reporting features will be activated as they are developed. In this way, the Google Analytics Development team will be able to test new features in real-world situations and use your input to guide product development. Because the beta tracking code is an addition to the regular tracking code, your regular site tracking and reporting remains unaffected.
We recommend that all Trusted Testers try out our beta tracking code. Those beta features that require use of the beta tracking code are documented in this site and designated as available only to trusted testers.
You must first be using the new version of the Google Analytics Tracking Code (ga.js) in order to participate in the Trusted Tester Program. If you have the ga.js tracking code operating for your website, we will send you detailed instructions to learn how to install the beta tracking code.
