Overview
With the AdSense Host API, you are eligible to receive referral bonuses for each new AdSense user that you sign up. Specifically, you can earn a bonus for each user who, within the first 180 days of their sign-up for an AdSense account on your site, reaches the following revenue thresholds:
Once 25 of your signed-up users each earn $100 in valid AdSense revenue and are eligible to receive payment within the first 180 days of their respective AdSense account sign-ups, you will receive a bonus of $2000 in addition to the other referral bonuses you have received.
The below table summarizes the three kinds of referral bonuses you can receive.
| Timeline | Bonus Criteria | You Earn |
| Stage I | For each user who earns $5 in valid AdSense revenue within 180 days of sign-up | $5/user |
| Stage II | For each user who earns $100 in valid AdSense revenue and is eligible to receive payment within 180 days of sign-up | $250/user |
| Stage III | For the first 25 users who each earn $100 in valid AdSense revenue and are eligible to receive payment within 180 days of sign-up. One-time payout only. | $2,000 |
Example calculation of referral bonus
Assume that you have 52 users that sign up and earn $100 within the first 180 days, you would earn:
52 users x $255 (Stage I and II earnings) + $2000 (Stage III earnings) = $15,260 total earnings
How do you calculate users' earnings?
Please note that referred users' earnings are computed after adjusting for your revenue share. Therefore, a higher revenue share kept by you will lower the chances of your receipt of referral payouts for that user.
When are users eligible to receive payment?
In order for users to be eligible to receive payment, their AdSense accounts must not have any "payment holds". Most users will not have a payment hold if they simply submit their tax information, select a form of payment, and verify their addresses. To learn more about the payment review process that users must pass in order for you to earn the $250 and $2,000 bonus payments, including less common reasons that user accounts may have a payment hold, refer to the Payments Guide for users in the AdSense Help Center.
