Android Developer Challenge: Content Policy Guidelines

Developers writing apps for the Android Developer Challenge 2 should adhere to the following program policies. Defined terms used here have the same meaning as in the Android Market Developer Distribution Agreement.

Developers should not submit to the challenge, upload or otherwise make available applications or any other materials that display (via text, images, video or other media) or link to:

• illegal content.
• gambling application or sites
• invasions of personal privacy or violations of the right of publicity.
• content that interferes with the functioning of any services of other parties.
• promotions of hate or incitement of violence.
• violations of intellectual property rights, including patent, copyright (see Google's DMCA Policy), trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary right of any party.
• any material not suitable for persons under 13, including graphic depictions of violence or age-inappropriate language.
• pornography, obscenity, nudity or sexual activity.

Developers should not submit to the challenge, upload or otherwise make available applications or any other materials that:

• harm user devices or personal data.
• create unpredictable network usage that has an adverse impact on a user's service charges or Carrier's network.
• knowingly violate Carrier's terms of service for allowed usage.
• create a spammy user experience, whether by posting repetitive content or misleading information about an application's purpose.

Developers should not divert users or provide links to any other site that mimics Android Market or passes itself off as Android Market.

Violations of the ADC2 Terms and Conditions or this Content Policy will result in account termination. Repeated infringement of intellectual property rights, including copyright, will also result in account termination. For more information on Google's copyright policies, please see here.
